20th Australasian Fluid Mechanics Conference

The 20th Australasian Fluid Mechanics Conference (AFMC) will be held on the grounds of the University of Western Australia in Perth in December 2016 and will bring together an international group of scientists, engineers and educators with common interests in fluid mechanics. The conference, organized in collaboration with the Australasian Fluid Mechanics Society (AFMS), has a long history dating back to 1962 when the inaugural conference was held in Western Australia.

The conference covers all fields of fluid mechanics research, areas of interest, and applications. A diverse range of research areas will be represented by the seven plenary speakers: Professor Robert Dalrymple (Johns Hopkins University), Associate Professor Nicholas Hutchins (University of Melbourne), Professor Sonya Legg (Princeton University), Professor Paul Linden (Cambridge University), Professor Roman Stocker (ETH Zurich), Professor Charles Williamson (Cornell University) and Professor Leslie Yeo (Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology).
