2005年加入中南大学,在土木工程学院土木工程材料研究所从事教学与科研工作。此前先后在武汉工业大学、水利部南京水利科学研究院、东南大学、Ecole Polytechnique Federale de Lausanne(EPFL)学习和工作。发表学术论文70余篇,SCI、EI检索40余篇,主持国家自然科学基金项目、科技部、铁道部、水利部、交通部科等部委研项目多项。承担《土木工程材料》、《建筑功能材料》等课程的教学。

Zheng Keren is a Professor in the School of Civil Engineering. He joined the School in 2005 after received his PhD in Material Science & Engineering at Southeast University. He obtained his MSc in Material Science & Engineering at Wuhan University of Technology in 1998. From August 1998 to March 2003 he was Engineer at Nanjing hydraulic Research Institute.

Research interests

His research focused on the fabrication, characterization and exploitation of new civil engineering material. The range of topics covered includes:

1. Cement Chemistry. Hydration and structure of Cement with chemical and mineral admixtures, the process of hydration and microstructure developing by means of AC impedance technique.

2. Cement based composites. Durability, mechanical properties and thermal expand behavior of cement and Emulsified asphalt mortar that used for slab track of high speed rails.

3. Use of solid wastes in building material. the use of recycled waste glass in cement and concrete.
